Ryan Maybee, and Andy Rieger brought the brand proudly back to Kansas City under the guidance of industry legend Dave Pickerell. Somebody had to open up Kansas City's first distillery in almost a century! Respecting the time-honored tradition of aging Whiskey in 53-gallon white American oak barrels, J. This very dominant rye grain bill showcases all the rye spice that you?�?d want from a Rye Whiskey. Aged for 6 years in new, charred white oak barrels that were sourced from Independent Stave in Lebanon, Missouri, this unique expression is a tribute to the late Dave Pickerell and Kansas City, the hometown of the distillery since 1887.
